As a midwife Hannah enjoys empowering parents to listen to their instincts, find confidence in their decision making and help to educate when parents feel it's required. Hannah has many years’ experience in the postpartum and home visiting realms. She identified early on that women simply aren't getting the postpartum care that’s equal to the attention and care they receive in the antenatal period. Whilst continuity of care provider is widely documented as the 'gold standard' of maternity care, our systems simply aren't set up to adequately support that. Hannah made the decision whilst on maternity leave to undertaking study to allow her to become an Endorsed Midwife so she could step into the private practice world.
Whether it be a couple of weeks to help you find your feet, a fully supported 6 week package or simply a once off clinic session, Hannah is here to help you protect your postpartum. As an endorsed midwife Hannah’s services attract medicare rebates with a GP referral and she’s able to refer to other providers and prescribe medicines where needed.
Hannah will be running midwifery clinics from the Hub by appointment for antenatal education and postnatal support up until 6 weeks postpartum both in person or via telehealth. She will be in clinic every second Friday 8.30am-1pm.
