Meg is the founder of Milkyway Mums and mum of two gorgeous boys. she is also a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). 

 

Meg has been around the country with her work over the past 13 years, including Brisbane, Perth, Nhulunbuy, Cairns and now calls the Sunshine Coast home. Areas she has previously worked in include Paediatric Emergency Department, Antenatal Care, Labour and Birthsuite, Gestational Diabetes, Postnatal Ward, MGP, IBCLC, Special Care Nursery, Early Parenting Centre and facilitating Mothers Groups. 

 

Meg is super passionate about supporting women in the areas of informed decision making, education, perinatal loss, perinatal mental health and breastfeeding. She particularly enjoy working with women in the antenatal period providing education in preparation for breastfeeding and providing key early postpartum support, whether it be breastfeeding, bottlefeeding, perinatal mental health support, newborn sleep and settling assistance, early parenting assistance and matrescence.  

 

Meg has experienced the highs and lows of conception, perinatal loss, pregnancy, labour, birth, the postnatal period and motherhood. Her own personal experience has made her blossom as a midwife and lactation consultant, as she can completely empathise and be compassionate towards her patients having had these experiences first hand. It’s a roller coaster ride worth riding with the right support in place.

 

Meg provides Lactaction Consults by appointment, and Postnatal Drop-in Clinics will be on Wednesdays at the Hub for babies;

 

0 - 6 weeks old from 8:30 to 10:30

9 weeks - 6 months from 10:30 to 12:30
