You are invited to come connect with like-minded Mummas in a safe and nonjudgemental space as we navigate the journey of early motherhood.

Our group will be informed by attachment theory and is focused on exploring the transitions, adjustments, emotions and challenges that being pregnant and having an infant brings. •  Looking after mum and discovering your own parenting strengths

  •  Expectations in parenting and the role of internal dialogue and the past influences

  •  The couple relationship and transitions in parenthood

Floriful Workshops

Welcome to the Floriful Workshop: Combining Floristry, Mindfulness and Self-Care

Join us for a morning of creativity, relaxation and nurturing at our in-person event at the Perinatal Child and Family Hub.

Discover the therapeutic benefits of working with flowers. Flowers elicit joy and positivity, and flower arranging can encourage mindfulness and relaxation, as well as serving as a physical reminder of these feelings, which is at the heart of the Floriful Worshops. The workshop is not about creating “perfect” works of floral art, it’s about showing up “imperfectly” and using flowers to connect with your inner creativity, connect with yourself, connect with others and most importantly focus on nurturing yourself. Then you get to take home your creation, as a little reminder to look after you.

Here at the Perinatal Child and Family Hub we are passionate about supporting people along the range of development and life stages from Perinatal (preconception, pregnancy, birth and postnatal), through to supporting parents of older children, adolescents and young adults. We know that women in particular, often don’t take the time to look after themselves, and tend not to talk about “How they really feel”, or carve out time to nurture themselves. So, we wanted to create a workshop for like-minded women at whatever stage they are at, to create an opportunity to connect socially in a safe and non-judgmental space, and to focus on exploring self-care, values, strengths, self-compassion and mindfulness through simple flower arranging.

The workshop will be facilitated by Clinical Psychologist Carla Anderson who has many years experience supporting women, and is studying a Certificate III in Floristry.
